After leaving Brinsbury Agricultural College in 1996 on achieving agricultural and plant NVQ qualifications, Richard worked for Paul Vidgen at Ascot Tree Services.
Richard spent a few years driving an OSA 250 forwarder and various other forestry machines. He also helped to maintain and repair the harvesting heads and other equipment. When Paul sold the forwarders and harvester in 1999, Richard worked with Paul building forestry machines and maintaining the Ahwi mulchers. Richard learned a lot from Paul about engineering and fabrication.
When Richard got married in 2001, he decided to start his own company repairing forestry machines and wood chippers on site. In 2002 Richard rented his first small workshop in West Sussex. Over the past 20 years Richard has worked on most makes and models of forestry machines. This experience have had given us the ability to grow and work with companies such as John Deere Forestry and many others.
We are now one of the only forestry engineering companies to repair all types of forestry machines, and are the leading forestry engineering company in England. Richard always emphasises the fact that getting machines up and running is most important this has been a massive benefit to the company’s sales of new and used equipment. We only sell what we can back up.
